Frost on the Pumpkin

When Autumn chills the Air with cool kisses 

we wander down the rows of Pumpkins 

basking in the Sun... remembering the Fun 

when we were young and foolish and a bit Goulish... 

The Scare Crows were charming and a bit alarming 

when they spoke and began to dance and romance... 

The Cornstalks with Silky soft Angel hair began to 

sing "let me call you Sweetheart" at the end of Summer...

dear Shadrach... Autumn is a "whimsical time of year.
The Squirrels and Cardinals eat Sunflower seeds side by side on the Railing of our Deck. Occasionally a large Bluejay visits, as well as Mourning Doves. There is a Nip in the Air as Winter Winds are on the Horizon.
May your Thanksgiving be blessed with a Cornucopia of fruits and vegetables and a pumpkin Pie on the side. gently, Pat

Yes, The Wizard of Oz is a Classic... so much like our own families and the experiences we encounter.
The personalities of The Tin Man and the Cowardly Lion; and of course The Scare Crow will always bring
lessons to be learned. Our Children and their children still live each day in peace and love... while our Leader and his followers are destroying our Country. It is such a Crime that the Countries of the Immigrants could not take care of their own Citizens in their Country of Origin. Our Creator needed a Constitution from the beginning and a way to enforce
the Beauty of our World. I hope that "Hell" is not proved to be on this Earth... as it seems to be happening. And I am an Optimist. gently, Pat
