Just Looking

Just Looking

A Chapter by Leviathus Fortes

she sat slumped over in a chair down the hall wearing the same depressed look upon her face as she always did

Had she grown tired of the routine that her life entailed and was seeking excitement

Or did she simply find her life to be boring and was looking for someone similar enough to herself that she could settle down with

had she lost her luster for life and simply given up or was it that she was lonely and wanted someone to love and to cherish

someone that she could call her own

mistakes had been made in the past
but I'm not quite sure if she had ever at any pont acknowledged her decisions made

to bring to light mistakes made of oneself is to learn from the past so that you do not bring those things forward to the future

it makes one consider the possibility of if she has ever been a good judge of character or if she just goes for whoever bothers to show her attention

perhaps that is all that is needed to draw her to another but I digress

for I can only watch the actions of another, I cannot read their minds

but even I am humble enough to admit that sometimes I too like mere mortals can misjudge the actions of others

As I find most do willingly embellish grandioso stories inside of their own minds

gossip rumor assumption speculation misinterpreted spoken words
what terrible traits are these to be instilled into any being

I much prefer to look at the heart
