Oh shed a tear

Oh shed a tear

A Poem by Dhara_Ditzy Kat
"

On Illicit love :)

"

🎶 Oh shed a tear for the tart

Hooking a married man’s heart

A clown with a blotted nose

Strumpet fallen for his art 🎵

She may love, that’s not a crime
Why a rag to soak his grime?
Mopping up the filth he spews

His sewers cleaned for no dimes

🎵 Oh shed a tear for the tart....

A mare to screw in his stable

She’s a dog so laughable

Drooling for spare crumbs he throws
At her, from his full table

Oh shed a tear for the tart....🎵

Red hot meat she is, for kill
Carcass, once he had his fill
A crow gawking on his roof
Booed and shooed away at will

🎶 Oh shed a tear for the tart....

She’s just his stain, not his love
Dirty duvet, not his dove

A witch he’ll burn on a stake

Some day smoke her on a stove

🎵  Oh shed a tear for the tart

Hooking a married man’s heart

A clown with a blotted nose

Strumpet fallen for his art 🎶

You shouted for me and here I am Ms. Kat! I see a lot of work has gone into this cruel little gem on a burning social issue lol. What is it with nice, single young women and their attraction for married men? I once liked a girl who fancied one of these guys. She had a bad fall as I predicted. Great effort by you Ditzy and I hope this is an eye-opener for some. Loved it :)

This one reads like a tragic song with a warning moral for all men and women to be careful of the shifty company they may keep. Any office space or confined community has its share of cocksmen, naive assistants and other related perverts (this place included!) and there are always incidents of some unfortunate getting stuck in a swamp and feasted upon by the resident leeches, and so it appears in your reality based poem here. Illicit love under any circumstances is never ideal and will almost always end up in strife for those concerned. I guess it all comes down to judging character and making the right choices, and unfortunately many fail in that regard. Its a very original and tragically witty poem, Ditzy, so well executed in its strict rhyme and structure. Maybe you can be the saviour Kat of lost souls after all!
