Hero

Holding tight to that rope,
i feel like everything is over.

I see you standing there,
looking at me.

Watching my struggle,
to stay alive.

Why don't you reach down to help,
Why don't you help me.

Slipping from the rope,
Inch by inch,
Closer to the fallen past.

Can your future keep you afloat?

Looking up i see a hand,
Reaching for mine.

It was you!

You had come,
to help me through my struggles.

Grabbing your hand i fel the warmth,
Of your touch.

You were and still are,
My savor.

And my,

HERO!

Dear Res,

That's such a beautiful poem of how you view your husband as your hero.
The beginning of how you feel like you're slipping and have no way to save yourself in this life you live, but are saved in the end by the one you love and the one you gave your heart to.
I really love how you show that he knows about all of your troubles and he saves you, because that's what love is all about. Being there for the one you love even when you know everything about them.
I love it! And one day I hope to love a woman the same way that your husband loves you.

This is a beautiful tribute to your husband. I like how you depict the moment of uncertainty (Why don't you reach down to help...) which is part of our nature, and then show his simple heroic act of grabbing your hand. Very nice!
