Whatever's Next

Whatever's Next

A Poem by Rita L. Sev
"

Does it really matter?

"

A religious man says “Heaven”

To lighten up Death’s mood

While in the realm of science

You’re claimed to be worm food

Either way it shouldn’t matter

As through this Life you plod

If you meet a total end

Or if you meet your God

Here we are, in the Now

A page in Life’s vast journal

Make it count, your Now, Today...

Repercussions are eternal

Thank you, Holly!
Flows nicely. We should all take heed and appreciate every moment. Not always as easy as it should be though. Good stuff!

Thank you!
Great write and even greater message. We should all live in the now, and not worry too much about tomorrow! If only we could all take this to heart. Great job, Rita!

Easier said than done.. Thanks, Will.
Ooooh, this one hit a nerve! We should live as such, sometimes our silly life gets in the way, reminders every once in a while is needed, thanks for the friendly shove! Very nicely pen'd, concise and to the point.

My pleasure, I guess we're all only human eh? :-)
This hits close to home. Man should not spend a lifetime worrying about the unknown, about that little bit of an end otherwise he is going to make a futile existence. This is very well thought-out.

You're very welcome, Rita:)
You are good. You know how to say so much in only 12 lines. Great words to live by. Great rhythm and flow. I like this a lot.
