No Place Like Home

Dorothy was right

There's a hole in my dining room ceiling

A leak in the faucet upstairs

When I look around with honest eyes,

Every room in my house needs repairs

The paint is chipped

The lawn's a mess

The carpet's torn a bit

But, you know what?

It's still my home;

Yep, there's no place like it.

I relate to your poem, I never see anything wrong with my house when I am in it, except when there are visitors I start to notice things they might look at, that is why I never criticize anybody else's house, and I try to compliment them in their family unity.

We have lived here for 22 years, close to where I grew up, in a similar "row house" - not much space, but plenty of love.
