A limerick?

TV's on and tuned to Hoarders 

Boy, are they on sanity's border!

I want to jump up and say,

"Throw that useless s**t away!"

Then I notice my own disorder.

Thanks, Jack - it's sort of a very guilty pleasure for me. It always makes me feel disorganized, but clean, sad for the people, and angry at them all at the same time. I really shouldn't watch it anymore!

Ha-ha, I wish my hoarding wife would watch that show, not that it would in any way cure her. Limericks are great, but you don't see them very often.

My son is always saying I'm going to end up on that show because I've saved every card, letter, picture they've pen'd...I watched it one day, that goes way beyond clutter Rita, more like hoarding insanity under piles of old kitty litter and pizza boxes!

I actually feel so sad for those people - a former neighbor had the disorder,and it was a shock. When I watch the show, I want to take inventory, make sure i am not falling into that category. Saddest for me are the animal hoarders.

Thank, NW! It is a pretty gross show, but for some reason, sometimes I am drawn to it. You are absolutely right about the beats for a limerick (thus the question mark). I need to work on it! I am not a "slob", but my husband and I are both clutterers. Both teachers, one in a Masters program, one a writer... ugh! There are books and papers and tech devices everywhere! :)

I hate messes.. but I hate cleaning even more. I will open my doors and windows and let the leaves, bugs and birds fly in. But a pile of papers drives me crazy! So I don't allow them in my house ;)
