Springing

The birds around here

are really freaked out,

their cries more like wailing than singing

 

“Hey, what is the cold

and this snow all about?

It’s time for the Spring to be springing!”

Stepped outside to put the dog out, and the birds were making quite a racket. Pretty sure this is what all the fuss was about... :)

Ah, this sweet poem inspired me to write my own version of it as a tiny gift poem which you may keep as your own. It’s such a silly little poem:

Chatter Bird

Birds must chatter every Spring:
“What’s the matter with my wing?
Must I splatter worms who cling?
When I’m fatter, I shall sing.

Watch me clatter on my swing
as I shatter everything
to a tatter seeking string,
or food platters that you bring.”

Very cute, Rita! I felt the same way when it was still snowing and cold at the beginning of March. But Georgia weather is like that. Somehow I think my mom would like this poem...she enjoys bird watching and nature.

Thanks, Eric! In Philly we say, "Don't like the weather here? Wait five minutes..." This week has certainly attested to that, with snow on Wednesday and a rainy 65 degrees today... :)

Yeah I have seen this a lot for a few yeah snow 1 day and than 70 degrees here the next, you know animals deal with depression too, For many years the have been a mass of different animals die because of all this. I am a thinker in theses times wondering what's on their minds. Sorry didn't mean to go on and on, but its wild.

We got a good dusting on Tuesday, more of a nuisance than anything, but snow in late March nonetheless...

man .. its unrelenting Rita ..yesterday we got hit again .. 2" re-covered everything ... sigh ..am headed to our Wellness Center to soak my blues away in the whirlpool then the sauna then the whirlpool then the sauna :) that always works for me
