Tulips

Tulips

A Poem by Rita L. Sev
"

a springtime chofu

"

Season’s calling card

tulips

in bloom for such a short time

delicate blossoms

attest

life, beautiful and fragile

Beautiful with a sneaky underlying meaning. Great analogy and great write. :)

Thank you very much, Shawn!
I think I am going to stay out of this chofu business, but this was a really lovely spring write.

Thanks, Pryde - it was definitely more of a challenge than a haiku or senryu.
Nice
Reminds me of the tulips on Park Avenue...NY's first sign of spring...and renewed hope!

Nice comparison of life to tulips. This is an excellent chofu. Actually, I was also challenged by Mr. Cowboy and made a Chofu in my review to his piece. It's great to learn something like it.
Great!

You're welcome.
So true so true...still waiting for their colorful glory. They've been delayed a bit but I see them poking out of the soil. Once they open up then I will believe spring is truly here.

It was a fun challenge :) Thanks, Red!
Beautiful chofu! Tulips survive because they're attractive. They are domesticated plants. I love tulips, but I also enjoy searching for wild flowers growing under shade trees who are all the more attractive because they're wild and free. Tulips are aristocracy. Wild flowers are lovely rogues.
