Spent the last two days at a Teachers' workshop at the Barnes Museum here in Philadelphia. While other (normal) people take notes on the paintings, I count syllables...

Who's to say what is normal, Rita? To me, what you chose to do makes far more sense! So clever. Well written senyrus....and they show such a lot of insight. I liked them. Lydi**

This is why I share my musings here, Lydi - you all understand! :) Thank you!
Art, like music is on of those things you don't have to know anything about to appreciate. You just have to feel it in your gut. That's where art lives.
Great art you have chose for your piece senoRita :) the impressionist taste they seem
like pieces from Ed hopper and or Paul Cezanne, or perhaps Monet. I thought your second senryu was very deep. It embodies life being inclusive of death. I need to learn to write Haiku and Senryu like you, your economy of words has always been masterful. Write on Rita!

The Barnes has many of his works in their permanent collection, and had a special exhibit called "Life is an Apple" featuring many more (thus, the second senryu...) I like the short forms in poetry - even in bouts of writer's block, I can usually eke out a haiku, Clerihew, or Limerick! :)

Yes it is, I was afraid I wan't going to get through.
This was really neat, and gives new light on paintings. I love when art is inspired by other art, it is just a really interesting process. Great work dear!
