Into my Haven

 

Let me take your heart away,

there is only so much one can take.

Let me set you free even though

you think you will never be.

Let me love you so and every day

I will let you know.

Let me swim with you in the perfect lake,

and hear the pleasant sounds it makes.

Let me guide you into my haven,

where the soul doesn’t ache.

Darkness is all you see and your

dreams are so far away;
But when you arrive there with me,

you will see all the reasons to stay!

We all need a safe haven. A special place of tranquility where we can totally relax and feel at ease. This is a beautiful love poem for someone who is surrounded by darkness. Let me she says. Yes, she wants to alleviate the negatives and entice him to a place where he feels spiritually lighter. Nice work Sil. Hope your day is going well.

There seem to be various ways of interpreting this poem. Each phrase being carefully laid as if to beckon readers into whichever place or emotion they wish to be or feel. You have a way with words, you bend and cajole them like prisms in a window, their reflected colours seen as either startling or special.

I love this! It's the perfect extended metaphor (great details!) for making love, yet it can also apply to many other good things in life that take time & devotion. The notion that Love will be good, happy and safe from all the bad in the world. That is my take away from this and it's a beautiful sentiment. It's partially true in my opinion.

A nice poem on love with true emotions and feelings that the poet has for someone. Every line is heart-touching and love it.
"Let me love you so and every day I will let you know;
Let me swim with you in the perfect lake and hear the sweet sounds it makes;

In these lines the readers feel how the voice of poet comes from the heart with deep emotions.
