The Rose of Birth

The Rose of Birth

A Chapter by Linzey
"

This is more an opening piece to explain one part of the picture for the front.

"

Petals from the bud of life slowly open

Hesitating

For it knows of the horrors in our world

Beyond its control,

It blooms

Now vulnerable

Shaking of fear

Shining whiter

Glowing despite its knowledge

Purity cleanses all who see not only its physical beauty

But the beauty that runs throughout it

Let it seep into your own skin

Let it flow through your veins

Envelop you

Look into its light

Blinding you

Now you can truly see

Use all of your senses to remember its innocence

Feel the heat radiating from the white petals

Smell the sweet scent it diffuses into the air

See what it tries to hide from those who dare not look

Have it grow not only from its own time on this world

But let your own life intertwine with its stories

Let it breathe you in

Holding the life you wish to always relive

Let it create a new you

One that may be better than who you could be at this very moment

Let it entice you

Tempting you in ways you never thought were possible

Let it be you

Be your everything

Your nothing

As it begins to wither

You notice something that was overlooked every other time

There was a single tear on it

And it is now finally able to fall

For in death, emotions should be shed

And in life

Let only happiness fill your days
