VII. Then Reason began to build a house,
And the house was a house of Heaven
Wherein many from the race of Men where lured.
And so it came to pass that bewitched men
Fought alongside cunning Reason,
And Reason's Reign did grow once more.

But a whisper from the utmost depths
Rose, and carried Men away in the Spirit,
And once again he felt the dawn of his humanity;
And Men saw his parts, both low and great,
And saw Reason's utmost fate,
And once again Men learned about fate.

Thus Men assembled all the feelings of his Heart -
The old elders of his inner nature -
To strike Reason's misshapen ways
And free Earth from its devastating reign.
But Mercy and Compassion and Humanity
Asked Men to spare this Reason.
