Amazing, can't think of asking to write poetry can itself be a poem! You know I write a lot of poems in my diary and publish a little, because each time I publish them, the thought hovers in my mind, why?? Really, why to publish.. Then I think of the like minded people who can understand the thought process and may be find something similar. Your poem depicts that point of mine... Thanks for sharing

Yes, writers need to encourage and support other writers, because the non-writers often
don't understand what purpose there is in what we do...and they try to limit our scope to getting
real jobs and putting that nice-little writing-hobby thingy back on the shelf.

It's like you wrote a poem just for me. Except for the cat part. But dang am I feeling these words. Thanks for sharing another hot poem. I don't like my insecurities but at least I know 'em. My pen in shaking hands wants to deliver but I suffocate under an oppressive shiver can't hang when I'm lucid man I need a hit of whatever keeps you poets lit your words are so lyrical it's god damn satirical I'd even show my face today but oop there's that anxiety amplified by society tripping me before I'm on my way.
But I'm not a poet. Just a lowly writer. So I think I will do just that. After all, I love telling stories. Thanks, Aysha!
