Even if

Even if moonlight is broken

and wild flowers bloom

beneath a stolen sun

lost in a twilight song,

sung in off key silhouettes

along a choral reef

drenched in caramel pages

of forgotten ink...

 

amidst an ocean’s marathon,

waving to popsicle patrons,

melting your heart

in every sweetness now

clinging to shirt tails

of written directions

leading away…

 

I plead,

stay with me,

and we will find our place

among the hidden forests

and daffodil daydreams…

 

inviting eternity

to become

one with ourselves

Sea monkeys- I ordered them over and over and when they finally came nothing happened, I was just talking about the Popsicle wrappers from when I was a kid that had order forms on it for sea monkeys,
the person I spoke with said they are being sold right now at target, that she had no problem growing hers, and that I probably moved the jar too much, she was right, I must have carried that thing everywhere waiting, watching. Beautiful poetry.

That has got to be the first "Sea monkeys" I have ever received in the comment box and it was fun. I remember them being offered in the back of comic books...never ordered them though, I used my money for the X-ray glasses instead. :)
