Somethings amiss

Somethings amiss

A Chapter by Lyn Anderson
"

apostrophetically speaking

"
Somethings amiss
I went to put the
apostrophe
in my morning coffee
and I couldnt find
it anywhere ...

I cant do my daily
correct'ns
without her
intervent'n
and its all unravell'd
in her absence.

and I dont give a damn
if you dont have a clue
about apostrophetic mysteries
if you dont know Frieda
I feel sorry for you.

Oh it was torturous. Every time I look at this one I want to correct it. That should make Frieda gig.. read more

Yes and of course coming back to it makes me want to correct it all the more ...:)
Until I started posting on the WC I didn't know what an apostrophe was

And then you met Frieda ...:)
Well aren't you the clever one… its hard to edit yourself cause you see what you think you wrote.

I miss Frieda.

You are so welcome.
Oh I get it. I have priors for bad punctuations, hahaha. (Did I mess up here? I like being corrected.)

And I like doing the correcting. :)
Frieda has a special way of reaching out to people, in need of healing. Offering advice, never judging those, who are suffering. And yes, I do miss her unique sense of humour and writing style. Frieda, wherever you are, I hope, things are ok, with you. I miss you, big time.

Your welcome, KL.
I second that motion, where the heck did she go?
Well done.

We don't know but obviously a lot of us feel the same way
True we are all missing my Lady of words. Writers Cafe seems, as you say, to have lost part of its 'language' structure. Trust you to notice the missing bits!

That was a play on words knowing you penchant for grammer lol!
Add me to that ever growing list of "Frieda you are deeply MISS'D" people. She went and etch'd her name on my heart with her words. Thanks KL, your poem made me smile thinking about her and how much she means to people.

Glad to make you smile
KL, I used to think of you as the apostrophe person! And Frieda used her poetic license to lop off words that enhanced the beauty of her work and you were always there good naturedly with an apostrophe in hand should she need it. I miss her too. The site has lost some of its energy and laughter without her. I miss her as well
