out of touch

not in sync

undefined

most of the time

random moments

reality flash

behold the truth

staring you in the face

so bright

you can't look away

but just for a moment

and moments fade

rarely do these things

create a lasting impact

leaving our lives

permanently changed

life's a blur

it goes so fast

sometimes it's clear

sometimes we hear

whats truly going on

but usually we choose to slumber

ignore whats hard to take

so much easier to look away

because truth is painful

reality is hard

changing is so difficult

we can barely feel anymore

we've gone numb from the cold

it's biting winds

trying desperately to protect ourselves

from all that it brings

sometimes were lucky

the wake up call is so big

theres nowhere else to turn

except  what really is

most times were left to stumble

all alone in the dark

we've lost our light and way

we loose some more each day

so seize those random moments

when it hits you in the face

those blinding flashes of light

when you cannot look away

and hold on to them for as long as you can

trying to create something real

cuz that might just be all we've got

our only way to heal
