Betrayed

I still remember the time when we were together,

But now like a broken glass everything got scattered.

Everything is still in front of my eyes in my reverie,

And I'm still searching for the reason behind your ire.

My heart is still mortgaged for you to win this lover's game,

I waited for the day of our victory, which never ever came!

I was addicted to you like I was once to nicotine,

Now you're blaming me with such extreme rage as lupine.

Our love was so true but by you it was stigmatized,

I fought with the situation but it was all futile.

It's the same moonlight tonight but you're with someone else,

I know your heart's now suffering from some malaise.

I gave you everything from my heart and my life ,

But now I'm DEAD.....

As in return by you I was broken and betrayed….

Ahmmmm!! I'm basically still unaware about the reason behind our break up....
And it's been a long time now...but...even life's not back to normal track :( :(

Very well done, I like the pictures you choose for your stuff. I can relate about being betrayed, but not in the love field (Never loved). But this piece at least I can feel what I should I guess, and make me more paranoid of love. I am truly impresses here, and thank you for finding my group. I hope the piece you entered in my contest gets a lot of votes.

Very well done, very well expressed.

Such a deeply moving, powerful piece! The pain and angst are so vividly portrayed in each line, and the questioning only adds to the mystery of love and loss. Brilliant!

I understand this so well..
the mention of addiction to someone actually pulls a few strings on my heart because i've been in that case so much...
good read but the emotion shines through...
i love it!

Oh my Bhavya! This poem packs so much emotional pain that it knocks one down! I have so been here (still am I in a way) and no matter how much meditation, affirmations, prayer, exercise, self help...blah blah that I do daily for healing .... I believe this is the type of wound that only another love can cure. And it will.... someday. Until such time, love thy self. :)

You are a great writer! I'm so sorry you're experiencing this.

Powerful, excellent write my friend.

This poem was so sad.

Remarkable and lovely, but still sad.

I felt your every word.

I don't know much about relationships but I've seen plenty to know the game of it.

I doubt you would want sympathy.

Keep your head up high and your smile too.

Someone else will soon find you.

One thing i can say for sure about this piece - it is heart-felt and the reader can easily feel that.
I loved it!! It's a good write although a couple of rhymes seem a little bit forced. But all in all it's a good work.
You know what's sad about all this??? Good poems are always born from true pain and suffering and that's a shame.

All the best in the contest!!!
