When I was in Grade One,

My teacher in Religion explained,

A priest is the representative of God,

That a priest has to accept

The sacrament of Holy Order

To become a full-fledged one,

 

When I was in teen years,

I caught my religion teacher

Who then was the parish priest,

Making out with our school principal,

 

Then, it is where I realized,

That they are humans too like us,

With desires and yearnings

Just like ordinary men.

 

When I was in my adult years,

My boss was a priest

And he impregnated my colleague.

 

But because of strong love

Between them and the future of

The child.

 

He went to Vatican,

To surrender his being a priest

And lead a normal and ordinary life.

 

Now,

Within two months,

Three parish priests were killed

In three different areas

And in their own churches

 

With the same method

Which is stabbing in the back,

A sign of betrayal

But definitely not of remorse.

 

A week later,

A girl was killed,

Stabbed, tied like a pig,

And thrown at the street

Because she has a child with a priest.

 

Then a few days later,

Another girl was stabbed to death,

This time with a four month old fetus,

Wherein the main suspect is her boyfriend

Who is a priest.

 

Looking back at the different scenarios,

Made me think hard,

Is priesthood really a vocation

At present?

 

Or a dating site

For lovers to be?

 

I wonder what happened

With the virtue of Chastity.

How come priests can't have children? Isn't the point of this world is to reproduce?

I am thinking along the same lines as Neville. Priests are human beings too, and maybe we do need to consider the whole issue of celibacy in the church. They have taken vows and broken them, but they do not deserve to die because of that and neither do the girls who have fallen to their charms. All I can see in your poem is a situation spiralling out of control. I do not see the love of Jesus Christ anywhere in this. Thought provoking, I expect you will get many varied responses sette.

This is quite unique and raises questions that many are afraid to ask or indeed would likely disbelieve, even if the fact slapped them in the face... such is the way that they have been shaped over time by many forces, however, I am never surprised just disappointed when I learn of such things....although, I am not a great believer in celibacy within the priesthood myself....maybe we need to consider a less strict observance.............I dunno, priests eh'..................... what i pity more was the woman who was killed like an animal because she has a child with a priest and she was an ordinary student who would have had a beautiful future even without the father of the child if she was still alive, she was like a suckling pig in the crime scene.totally naked and with hands and legs tied like a pig to be killed

i do not know about priests but all humans act human

You know my friend, religion is the cause of many wars and much hardship.

When we are young and impressionable we are taught that priests are pure, then we found out that a large proportion of them are rapists and violators of young minds.

I was brought up in the faith of a church , but i let my own children decide for themselves about Holy men...

Great I love the exposure of the evil from those who've lied, pretended, abused, killed, raped, corrupted,massacred, mislead, fooled, deceived, and profited in the name of a GOD/GODS also it's not over, maybe we haven't seen the modernize versions to be implemented. i have met preachers that took drugs and drank pretty heavy,priests are usually worse and
like to mess with children,i think most of them is a money racket,jessie duplantis wants a new plane at 54 million,,mr long got his church to buy him a lear jet and a bentley,some preachers has a girl friend in every city they visit,mr long was seen in a gay magazine with his lover,some are millionaires,most are full of the devil
