The Bus

The Bus

A Chapter by Rosalie Santerino
"

written for a competition about buses.

"

I know each single track

I know each crumbling road

I know each tree and hay stack

I know my precious load

I have seen where you are going

I have been where you have gone

I have always known my duty

I have always done my job

I am the underappreciated

I am nature’s kindest friend

I am always understated

I am there in the end

Bring the future forward enough

I am the good and faithful bus ...
