No Time

No Time

A Poem by A.Lee
"

we have no time... take advantage of every moment.

"

Like a fleeting dream life passes by

We don’t realize until its too late

That life’s too short for hate and hurt

We have no time to wait

We think we always have tomorrow

We’ll see them later on

But tomorrow had never been promised

It could very well be gone

We pass our loved ones day by day

Not telling them of their worth

Not cherishing those little moments

While we walk upon this earth

But in a moment life can change

Like a candle’s flame goes out

And we act so shocked that we missed our chance

When we failed to seek it out

And like a fleeting dream life passes by

Never realizing until its too late

That life’s too short for hate and hurt

We have no time to wait

Great wisdom in your words. Time is our greatest wealth. I wish for a few minute to thank a grandparent who raise me. Today I look back and if I could do many things different. The story and logic in your words are true. These are the poem that leave the reader with wisdom and thoughts.

The great philosopher Cattie Rain. Nice message in this one, I love it. It is a message of hope wrapped in a warning born of a realization that it can all end and not to take anyone for granted. Great writing.

This poem serves as a warning. You've given us all keys to happiness and I am afraid to ignore your words. The risk is too great. Your words have moved and inspired me. The poem has a dark cloud hanging over it though. It's not the most pleasant thing to try and figure out how a person so young has such wisdom. It almost seems as if we are having a conversation with a young soul that bears scars. I loved it!

This is the kind of poem that leaves one thinking after reading it, wondering what moments we have lost or maybe knowing of something we didn't do when we had the chance.
"But in a moment life can change" - so true. I know this, and remember my life changing suddenly and I can never go back to those lost times, this makes me sad and even angry sometimes. Thank you for this meaningful poem.

Amazing! I liked this a lot. Despite its simplicity, your poem held so much truth, and I think that many of us could learn from reading this write. :) I loved the last two stanzas, particularly the lines 'And we act so shocked that we missed our chance/When we failed to seek it out'. An insightful, thought-provoking write!

Excellent poem and the words here are so very very true. We usually learn that the hard way.

This is excellent. Perfect. I have an affinity with this poem's sentiments. There isn't much I can say about it technically because I can find nothing wrong.

"And we act so shocked that we missed our chance
When we failed to seek it out" - Brilliant couplet. My favourite part.
