Distracted

Distracted

A Poem by Chris Shaw

dancing dust motes
catch sunlight streaming
moving in time
to morning music
they boogie to
New Order
in their own lively
disorder
lifting spirits
revisiting magic

You wrote so brilliantly on such a basic rhythm of nature, the Brownian Motion.
This haphazard motion is so intrinsic to Nature and all its realms.
Order in disorder indeed, for without the disorder, there would be no evolution, no laws.

Distracted though it may seem, there is such purpose to it!

In such a simple way, you captured all the magic and beauty of creation.

This is just what I love about your poetry so much, dear Chris....

This feels so nostalgic and just paints the most beautiful picture. It reminds be of dust floating around windows and though each and every one of your poems are amazing, this might be my favorite. It feels so personal and feels like a memory. Thank you for writing this gorgeous piece.
