The meaning I get from this one is that beauty persists even in the midst of apparent death. Also, we might also see it as illustrating that the last stage of life can be the most beautiful. I tell myself something similar with each new white hair in my beard.

You are so welcome, Chris.
There are those who think autumn is a precursor of the tough winter ahead ... but fall is a riot of colour in the northern zones which bleed into the somber greys and whites of winter. All the more to make us appreciate spring.

Lovely haiku chris.

A lovely Haiku and as I read our Acer is as red as red can be but going willingly into winter as many of the plants and trees in our garden shut down as protection and regeneration happens. But the blighters leave me to clear up the mess!
