Temporal

Temporal

A Poem by Chris Shaw
"

(lyrics, muse is singing )

"
so what use is anger
inflicting self pain
let it drift from
lost remnants
there's nothing to gain

let it sail on the high seas
let it fly in blue sky
for life is for living
there's no time
to cry

veiled mists have now lifted
those ghosts have now gone
once haunted it's over
oh yes it's all over
along with your song

what remains is a memory
a flower's last bloom
pink petals have faded
there's no sense
of gloom

I love that staza. we can't dwell on disapointments and tragedy for life goes on and we must live it before our time is up. I could hear these lyrics being dung to a very hauning tune.

I can imagine a strumming guitar along with these find words, singing into a soft melody that' would be stuck in your head later for humming.
Nicely written as always, Chris. Thanks for sharing a bit of your own ghosts here :D

good advice though easier said than done for some. anger is such a useless, destructive, primitive emotion. great food for thought. yes, it hurts only ourselves - there are a plethora of constructive ways to let it out ... :)

I wish I could take back words said. We can't. Powerful and worthwhile words shared my friend.

I agree dear Chris. Anger and regret, a heavy weight to carry. You are welcome.
This is an amazing piece, from the first line to the very last one. And there's so much honesty, 'what use is anger, inflicting self pain,' because that's mostly what anger is, isn't it? I never thought about it that deeply until I read this. And then the second part- that's truly the best thing we can do, let the negativity and anger fly off into the blue sky and I love the hopefulness of this! As hard as it is to let go of hard things, it's most definitely the best thing to do, and you penned that down wonderfully. The ending reminds me of a new start since letting go of the anger, a flower blooming with no semblance of resentment left! This is a piece full of wise emotions and advice that I think is a wonderful idea for us to all listen too.

Thank you so much! Yes, I enjoyed this piece very much, it was wonderful.
The wounds heal whether we let our minds and souls suffer or not, so why not choose not? Singing isn't only for winning, despite what footie fans say. But why have I got the only fools and horses theme playing in my head?

I'd say "Good girl, you know it makes sense, but I'd probably get hash tagged and there's no room on my jacket for any more labels 😊

I've been listening to a lot of Amy WInehouse lately and this poem, I don't know, either it makes me think of her more or she makes me identify with this more. Either way it's a pretty nice coincidence. Nice work doll face...
