For my Daughter

For my Daughter

A Poem by AaronFreitas
"

For my daughter Zoe on her sixth birthday

"

I think of you and how amazing you are

Six years ago today you were born

My beautiful little angel, my baby girl

You made me the luckiest father in the world

You always seem to amaze me

In everything you ever do

You always make me smile

I admit, I am so proud of you

You are so much like me

In so many ways

Your temper and competitiveness

Straight from my DNA

Today on your sixth birthday

I was so happy to be with you

I wanted to tell the world

Just how much I love you

For my daughter Zoe

Aaron, So many poems posted on WC are about fantasy, dreams and pain...this is so warm and fuzzy (a GOOD thing) it brought a tear to my eye. So genuine and raw, nothing pre-processed or overdone...just pure love from a dad to his precious daughter. I hope Zoe is as proud of her daddy as daddy is of her. Beautiful writing, my friend. take care...dan

Thank you Pryde :) I am extremely blessed :)
I Loved reading this. As someone with an incredible heart for children, I love to see Parents love for their children. I come from a home and a church that sees allot of foster children, so I love to be reminded that there really is some true, loving parents out there! :D
