Presenting to you our SIXTEENTH GLOBAL COLLABORATION at the Writers Cafe!

 

This year, 11 poets from around the world came together! We appreciate you all so deeply and this spirit of oneness with our voices lifted together.

May there be peace on Earth

 

We, bearing witness,
Sky giving birth,
Peace filling hearts,
Good-Will reigns on Earth.

Calm blue planet,
Dolphins swam, never feared the catch
The whales, the ships are far away
Never ever humans are menace to this virgin world

In frosted glass I stare serene at city scenes on plastic snow

And listen to a song so sweet, a tune of peace to all the world

The haunting pace of voices past begins to steal my lilting mind

As alabaster rivers tremble in the quiet, frozen facade of time

Memories of long ago, mixing with those yet to make.
Lessons learned, problems solved to silent applause.
Each of us values the soil 'pon which we walk or fall, but
We all have a gift to share: Children, love one another.

the night is oh so still, as silent snowflakes

blanket the earth, heavenly angels sing noel

and silver bells ring out Christmas Cheer

Can we not try peace, in a final attempt to assuage.
The hurt and hunger, so many of us face.
So try peace on earth... Or I'll smash you in the face!

Warmth of the Sun will restore Temptress Rose

They are all Earth-ians by birth,
So we must be peaceful; hand in hand, side by side.

Thank you everyone for contributing your pieces and author An owl on the moon for the incredibly wonderful experience. The closing of the year 2023 might be rough for some of us but I wish fortunes to be with everyone here. And religious or not, if you celebrate Christmas, I wish you all a very endearingly heart-warming Christmas. May the Stars of the Northern Sky shed their lights guiding you in these Winter nights. I love that... a family gather of poets... and such a beautiful time to gather at Christmas. I've thought lately of us all working together on a Writers Cafe book... maybe one day!
