11. loco con loco

11. loco con loco

A Chapter by Jordan Williams

crazy comma crazy, adjectives that fit your description

i took two daily doses then od'd on your prescription

you keep contracting my lungs, i'm forever suffocating

i'd give you an 11 out of 10 on my suffer rating

crazy lately crazy is what you've made me become

you appealed to my emotions so much it's left me numb

you tapped into my heart, leaving it an empty dark chasm

now i'm just sharp judgments and bitter sarcasm

crazy still so crazy, i wish you'd forget about me

replace your current obsession for it's about me

i'd like to say we'd survive stranded alone on an island

and that i wouldn't swim away, but then i would be lying

crazy endless crazy, your drama is perpetual

i would've stayed away from you if i was intellectual

it takes a fool to fall, and i now feel so remedial

to think we'd both be satisfied, but we're just too needy-al

crazy sickening crazy, your insanity's contagious

you could write a book on crazy, but you'd soon run out of pages

was i the true author of your convoluted book?

or just the first reader who dared to take a closer look?

he thought it would be fun to refund what he bought

the deceit, he was burned, couldn't return without the receipt

the business hours closed, but he supposed the wait would not be endless

time gone can't be regained, but still we may learn from our wrongs

in patience, he did wait for his fate to bring relaxation

and so he waits, and waits, and waits

but how long can one wait? and wait? and wait?

crazy crazy crazy, it's your one word association

i'll repeat it endlessly until you show me some space in

all aspects of my essence, even in writings i compose

i've said all i need to, yet your influence grows and grows

Author's Note

Jordan Williams
deleted/alternate lines:
you must have been in love, that's the only explanation
you choked me with your gloves, now there's no exhalation
i tried to cut all ties, don't want any affiliation
your drug is my demise, now i need rehabilitation
i walked through your door, though it seems i wasn't ready
i couldn't stand on your floor because your foundation is unsteady
you want me to sign a deal, but i decline your offer
your plot is too unstructured to be anyone else's author
