i saw you for a brief moment

still, i should've known it

would affect me the rest of my day

whenever i see you smile

my heart is lifted for a while

a kindness i wish to repay

 

images of you show, even when my eyes close

they stay with me long after they first came

mental photographs i keep in my mind's frame

because when you smile, my heart does the same

 

i heard a hint of a whisper

in my ears it entered

but ever since now in my soul rested

a hope so unusual

that the feeling is mutual

an interest equally invested

 

your voice is a sound, in my ears it's still found

it stays with me long after it first came

a melody that could soothe a savage beast to tame

for when you sing, my heart does the same

 

are there signals i invent

or were they truly your intent

to give them to me all along?

the slow realization

they could be real invitations

caused my pen to write this song

 

your beauty admired has left me inspired

still with me ever since it first came

words to make your day, a target for which i aim

my feelings revealed, but does your heart feel the same?

I adore this beautiful poem/song. You`ve beautifully expressed the feelings of your heart. What all I find in the piece`s love which dripping down from the heart of yours .. into the words writing a new story of a new lover. Lovely. I`d look forward to reading your stuffs.
