Lunar Music

Lunar Music

A Poem by The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)

Every night when the city sleeps

Deep in your mind music plays.

Though very faint it is there

Giving a feeling that all is ok.

So many times you look to the sky

Swearing it rides down on moonbeams

And often when your look to the sky

You’re certain you see a piano and wings.

Every note beats with your heart,

Every chord at one with your soul

That this phantom song brings no fear

In fact you welcome the heavenly harmony.

As you go about your life blissfully unaware

This masterpiece is played by your guardian angel

To drown out the negative sounds of evil

That tempts your conscience and goodwill.

The Rock And Roll Cowboy(REBEL WITH A CAUSE)
This is a piece inspired by the combination of Kelly D Burris' poem The Composer and the picture posted with this piece... I hope you enjoy it.

...how did you know?
(smiles)
I haven't read above said poem by Kelly Burris,
but this is inspired by Judy Garland's Dorothy in 'The Wizard of Oz'

"...why...it's just like you could read what's inside of me..."

(yesterday.)

To look at the sky- for answers- since the beginning of whenever time began. I wonder if Adam did so
as to the curiousity of what and how deep a same (unaware) sacrifice was made for Eve
"conducted" from his rib.
I will have to look at your dear poet friend's work, then.
I like this poem and the image of looking up at the sky. I just did myself,
not for answers; not today at least; but feeling the calamity and serenity within myself and the nature of the forest around me.

Thank you for looking up for your readers.

I love this.
It brought about such pleasant memories for me.
With Spring slowly creeping up here at my home, I keep going outside at night.
Watching the moon, feeling the breeze.
And I keep listening, listening intently for the song of the crickets.
Of the Nighthawks as they make their tribute to the moon.
Such exquisite sounds. It makes me want to walk barefoot down a moonlit path and just absorb.
Truly beautiful work here sugar, I love it! :)

Beautiful. This is very well done. Myself, being a lover of the night enjoy basking in the moonlight found a strong connection. =) I love how this became a spiritual sensation at the end. It's always nice to know someone's watching over you. Great write!

"blissfully unaware" - i like that

"Every note beats with your heart,

Every chord at one with your soul"

there were many great lines within this piece. it is very soft, and gentle... and cradles the reader softly :)
