![]() toy boats and streams of consciousnessA Poem by jacob erin-cilbertotoy boats and streams of
consciousness
you
came wrapped in treacherous smile ribbons which paper cut
my heart the bleeding is
profusely slow and along the way, band
aid relationships have desensitized the
pain,
but in the end band aids
lose their grip from years of tears and that blood of not
belonging starts to re-flow like a
creek that longs to dry
up, rather than cascade into
a damaging flood when it thinks of you.
