Respect is a quaint and curious trait to the masses today where oversensitive ambiguity rules out true empathy and compassion. A once great hands on society is now a collection of blathering fools with hands on keyboards. The laying on of hands was once for healing. Today it merely means a probable protester or criminal is being arrested. How sad that we have lost so much of our will to help and encourage; to strengthen and dignify one another. The memory of the Old Man serves him well. Perhaps the great fish was not delivered but its bones bore the truth of a thing that was lost.

thank you for your insightful words, Fabian.

Got a feeling Kim Jong Un has come to his rescue.
That'll put Texas in the background now.
Got a feeling this guy is bullet proof.
Just hope America can be fixed.

Bullet proof maybe, but he has internal bleeding, for sure.

Surprised there's anyone left internally to bleed.
We can parse op-eds and press conferences ad infinitum, but reality comes in waves, be it raindrops or sharks. You've mixed headlines and Hemingway seamlessly. Fine, fine stuff.

in deep waters hitting a coast
a country under depths of swirling pond scum"

An amazing take on the two big events taking America by storm. Hurricane Harvey of course and pardoning Joe Arpaio plus the debate on the confederate monuments. You put things in great perspective...:)..................

Indeed aspects of Hemingway taken and drenched in the past and the past participle Jacob. So Clever.
