this reminds me with a poem I read yesterday by Sami about the Sunrise and Sunset. I think any sudden circumstance if we aspect it, deal with it with our minds trying not to react with our strong emotions, it will leave/end peacefully, without a "sore moon" to rise up, great metaphor for the events of life, and how everything comes to an end, even the pain.
Summer days, lazy, long, ripe, gone too fast. Beautiful imagery and personification- “sun bows its head in shameful diversion”. Brief and golden. Beautiful.
How beautifully rendered jacob. Somedays are plain insufferable, some mere exercises of mundane humdrum and some that change the face of one's destiny. I like how you manage to blend brevity with profundity. An admirable trait! Glad to read this as my first read after a long deserved hiatus.
Unless fulfilled, where else is there to go, except off into the sunset...
Okay, those words just came to me out of the blue, like some kind of mental reflex..
On reflection, what I meant to say is.. Although not always met, it is our dreams and aspirations that serve to motivate that onward drive...... another super write jacob..

all part of the service jacob & of course a pleasure.. N
You saw the whole of the moon- sometimes it’s best to see and experience all than staying in your ‘room’ and missing all- we live we learn we grow- there was a beautiful pink sky in waking this morning...the wonders and mysteries of the world that touch our hearts in so many different ways- wonderful words as always🌹
