Dial Ego for Murder

Dial Ego for Murder

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

Dial Ego for Murder

disparage my heart,

insult my love

placate your own vanity

assuage the impatience of your

superfluous, spandex mind

but never doubt that sincerity

gets its revenge.

Everyone has an opinion Jacob and nothing will stop them from sharing it,, especially the locked in who thinks everyone else is just bit part players in their play, yet they make instant decisions based on a thought, not fact, yet think others won't have their own thoughts and opinions of them... or their ego is so inflated they just don't care for anyone but themselves.
Karma is a b***h and is biding its time, hopefully.

(but never doubt that sincerity gets its revenge.) Indeed it does. ~Sharon

not in the least...:)))

Is sincerity on the same level as karma? I would hope it has the same tools for the job. The meek or those with good intentions must have some way of coming out a winner at some point.

The title itself gives a very clear idea of the poem and it has strong point that is rightfully justified when we change our perspectives from person to person...indeed the last line adds to it that revenge is going to be there and when the good takes revenge , devastation is just one step away... a brilliant piece of work!!!! sir J!

Sincerity, yes. Because the truth can hurt. Or it can heal. It can be used to crush or build up.
Nice one.

We have to be strong advocates for sincerity and discourage all ego games. I love your strong voice here, dear Jacob ❤

Sincerity wins. No doubt. And that's the only way it should be.

dear Jacob... I think of Ray Milland in “Dial M for Murder”.... Being emotionally “Cast” in the Perils of Romance is a Shakespearean drama with a Hitchcock Denise... You are the Director and Playwright of an Oscar-winning Adventure. truly, Pat .

Wow! I like this one, J! Such a menacing tone running through this. Worthy of the master Hitchcock, himself. I am no fan of the insulting egoists of the world, either. They deserve a good wedgie in those spandex minds to teach them a lesson in sincerity. Excellent piece! :))
