Dinosaur

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

Dinosaur

at my fossilized age

I am fairly certain

my understanding

of love died out

with the meteor that hit

the one that procured my heart's

extinction.

Thank you, Kesch,
j.
Few words, but expresses so much, with age leaving a hollow person in the stone. Nicely spoken ;-]

I like this write, makes one wonder. --- But then again, I wonder, does it take something that powerful?

My dear Jacob, trust me, your metaphors will still be inspiring poets at the Cafe for a long, long, long, long time. Yeah!!!!

and I have no idea why I think in metaphor...I don't know where they come from....seriously.

Perhaps it's what good writer's do! ; )
I was impressed by just how powerful this write was- it really hit you in the heart and the shortness of the poem added to some of the intensity. I love the formatting too, highlighting every strong word you used. There was a reminsicent and nostalgic ache to this too that spoke of so much memories. Thank you for sharing such a strong memorable piece. This is one of those poems that you just want up on a wall.

Powerful short write..its amazing how writers can do big things with fairly small words when we'll organized. Moving metaphor.

Sometimes emotional meteors can be as devastating as the physical variety. Extinction is such a downer.
