Looking Glass

Looking Glass

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

Looking Glass

cold lips

dead to me

arms limp

unwrapping

of resentment

once a vibrant love

now a gravestone's essence

Oh, well now I'm really sad. --- Very dark, this one, short and in your face. --- I liked it. :)

This was great in its dark tones and shivering reality. I love how you sum up things marvelously. Masterful.

You are welcome.
Not a feeling I want anyone to have but one that is so relatable and poetry like this I absolutely love. It’s dark, it’s human, it’s in all of us and when expressed like this I get this big YES! that wants to scream from my lungs….I’m not alone in that feeling, and even though I don’t want anyone to feel like this I feel comforted by the words. This is fantastic, really fantastic

any time ...Hugs! ;)
This poem has such a sinister dark bite to it. With the cold, limpness and gravestone, you added such a dark and eerie undertone to this poem, adding to the heartbreak all the more. Whatever kind of loss it is, it always feels just as world breaking as this poem showed. Amazingly written and beautiful words, thank you for sharing such a emotional, refined piece.

Sweet mother if Jesus! That's dark! Man, I know the passing of a loved one too well. But I have never read or written anything like this. I never would have suspected that you had the capacity. Incredible!
