equilibrium

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

equilibrium

a casual kiss

stirred the introvert

to lean against parameters

of imbalanced risk.

You mean the introvert overcame the fear of rejection? Obviously the kiss was not so casual to them. Parameters are what hold us up. Interesting thoughts = good poetry.

Being thrown out of equilibrium into a state of imbalance.
A short but potent poem leaving a deep impression!

Thank you, Louisa.

Yes kisses can be risky. Especially the first ones on offer. Will they lead to heaven or hell? Only time will tell. Nothing tried, nothing gained. Weigh it up and make the choice. Great brevity J.

Perhaps, the kiss had the power to sway. Life is like that. Triggers happen. People change. We do things we never expected of us. Attraction can make sane people mad. Sedate office goers turn poets.

You're most welcome.
It is a fine balance and if you don’t take the risk, you know the saying Nice guys come last! For there is always a bolder person than you that will take over, stuff up the equilibrium, leave the carnage and move on. Love the brevity.

thank you, andrew...yes, always a bolder person.
It's a balancing act. "Lookin' back in front of me in the mirror's a grin
Through eyes of love I see I'm really lookin' at a friend
We've all had our problems that's the way life is
My heart goes out to others who are there to make amends
We've been walkin' the tightrope tryin' to make it right
Walkin' the tightrope every day and every night" Stevie Ray Vaughan

Sanity is only a state of mind.
This one says it all. Very clever and well written.

Oh yes. Those kisses Jacob. Kisses are rewards given to us by kind women. I did like you described the casual kiss. Thank you for sharing the outstanding poetry.
