![]() a different kind of runningA Poem by jacob erin-cilbertoa
different kind of running it's a
fine day in the mountains the sun
skimming off the trailer top inside a
bride waits to take her first steps down the
aisle of reconciliation but
then, she somehow becomes wrought
with indifference he lives
far away where his feelings have
become a flatland the flat
line evidenced by not much
rain, no tears the
empathy turned sympathy turned
apathy it's a
fine day in the mountains for
some, others
find it a prison regardless
of the
weather's temperament erin-cilberto 5/13/23 © 2023 jacob erin-cilbertoReviews
