Look Up

Look Up

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

Look Up

a loner in a

skyful of pigeons

all messaging each other

reading wings

not texts

they are the original, flying cells

cooing when the tidings arrive

my bird finds my heart

the little paper poem

expressive

love in the air

I see you in its eyes

and smile

as if you and the messenger

were one.

Swoon-worthy, Jacob! Wonderful imagery; I feel it with every sense. :)
