Day

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

Day

the atmospheric pressure

being near you,

I am bursting at the heart

and you are obliviously

...just a passing cloud

momentarily hiding the sun

from me

The pressure is critical that the poet experiences while for the other, its just a passing interest. How different feelings can be for two people in an association. For one, its a bursting heart and for the other, just a pleasant moment under the sun. Cant express how good it feels to be back and reading you, my friend!

Passing clouds and bursting at the heart... The heart is not in the 'shelter'. It may be a calm perspective away.

Thank you for your insight, mou,

I like this, I guess because I have always been partial to the weather report and have as well, met a few passing clouds in my day. The good thing, they pass and the sun shines again. Find that love in the sunlight, hold on and even a passing cloud will not diminish the shine.

I like these words in your response,
thank you, will,

Sounds like unrequited love to me. A one night stand perhaps? When only one feels the love, it is time to move on no matter how difficult. Lydi**

such keen insight as always, Lydi.
thank you

This little poem dear j, rouses various negative emotions. That passing cloud is oblivious that it is blotting out another’s sunlight. The good thing is that it is moving. It is temporary. If it was permanently blocking out the sun, there would be far more cause for concern. Best stay in the sunlight. All that vitamin D is so good for you. Excellent brevity and visual too.
