The Faith of a Bird

The Faith of a Bird

A Chapter by Erica Ross

One summer day, I sat and observed
Until my eyes caught a flock of birds
But on this summer day
I saw them in a different way
If only birds could talk; so much I would have to say
But they flew and they flew
To trees not too far
Then I thought to myself, boy, do these birds have heart
To live each day filled with the unexpected
Not having any security, but flying freely as if knowing their needs would not be neglected
Those free birds flying about freely
Going from tree to tree, probably living life with no meaning
But my dear God takes care of them too
Just the same as He does for me and you
So why have little faith when he takes care of things with no souls?
Take a leap of faith and go out to do something bold
Because a bird's way of life is to do nothing but fly
But imagine what you can achieve with God if you just try.
