Two hypocrites bound to what they see...

A Mirrored Image, Love Incarnate

By: Ethan West

Fire awakens what hate could not

Forever lost in tattered creed

And beauty's soul in anger's rot

Is left one final, tender plea

I came upon her in brightest light

My heart was blank, my soul was cold

Struggling with bitter fight

Struggling with darkness bold

And in six words my heart felt rest

My mind as restless as a bee

My heart then put my mind to test

As I outstretched my hand to thee

But her mind is dark like mine

As if to bathe in irony

She sees herself in dark decline

But all there is is light to me

And so, alone, we share this fate

We are two beautiful things to be

Two souls divine, but full of hate

Two hypocrites bound to what they see

And the broken line that cleans our slate

But ah alas, I am the dark

Even though this, you say to me

That I am the light within your eyes

What a beautiful thing for us to see

"I came upon her in brightest light

One of the best stanzas i've ever laid my eyes on.
It's clear to see that you have inspiration from greater things.
I just write about my life.
But let's cut to the chase.
Two times you've made me cry tonight.
That's not something done easily Ethan.
With five stanzaz you kill of some bad f*****g memories that not even my shrink could.
I somehow feel like i want to collaborate with you someday when i'm semi-equal to this s**t.
Mother of god am i speechless...

Thanks! At least somebody likes the title lol I'm really glad you like it!
Dark beauty and dark emotion are one of the most powerful places to write from. Often what results tends to be too dark for my taste. That being said, I found this piece walking the line; expressive, dark and beautiful. Excellent write! Looking forward to reading more of your work.

A mirrored image. Love beyond human flesh. Narcissus redivivus. The third stanza made me think - what 6 words? I couldn't guess.

Funny thing is I can't even remember myself... What a mystery lol Thanks for reading!
I love it! :D It's so sweetly but sourly romantic, I think that's how I'd describe it....Lol. I do agree that the title is a little "ish", but I can't really think of any of other titles for it. Lol. I'd probably be able to suggest something if I didn't have a headache. :P Lol.
Good job. :)
