Mom

Mom

A Poem by Lonely Gurl

Alone......

I wish you were here beside me.

All you are is a memory.

I never really new you.

But you were apart of me.

Once you left I lost part of myself.

I rember all the good times and the bad times.

You were like my best friend until...

that man walked into your life and swept you off your feet.

I trusted you and you betrayed me.

You turned to drugs and acohol.

You walked away from me and never looked back.

How could you abadon your own daughter?

and have no regret?

You are not now and never will be my mom again.

I hope you have a good life and feel the pain I have suffered without you.

The whole poem is sad, with a final two lines of defiance. A mother's first responsibility should be to her kids, and when it's not, the mother is committing a crime, in my eyes. Well written.

This is sad but also powerful like Coyote said.

So sad and powerful. Pain and heart break in every line. A wise person learn from mistakes. Maybe we will chose a better road then the ones who broke a child heart. A excellent poem.
