STOP THE INSANITY!!!

STOP THE INSANITY!!!

A Poem by Frieda P
"

just a bit of nonsense to quell the fires

"
Let's stop this in house cafe bickering
I suggest a food fight instead...
getting smacked upside the head
doesn't hurt half as bad as what's been said
it only leaves a bad taste in the mouth
let's get back to the joy of writing what's in our noggin
instead of letting all that raw sewage seep out
now that will surely whet your appetite
& no taste left for food,
sooo, here's to tomatoes in your face &
margaritas poured over your head
watch out for that flying dog!

This is priceless Frieda! Would that be grand, to hurl food full pace at the people who manage to anger us most! (Usually the ones we love and live with!) The final three lines reminded me of Tom&Jerry, in addition to your comical hot dog picture the "wacky races" kind of image came rushing into my head! Very fun and full of energy Frieda, this shows that all poetry can be great, even if it does not have incredible depth! Great work! :)

Frieda, this was F-A-N-tastic!! And I agree with what my fellow scribes have stated in previous reviews. We're here to write (simply because we love to) & read (simply because we love to). We're here to encourage each other &, just maybe, become even better writers along the way. With that being said, I'm giving all of you peeps a virtual hug:)

By the way, Frieda, the exploding hotdog is hilarious! It also looks really yummy:) :)

Whew! That's a relief. It'd make me sad to see that lovely hot dog meet such an untimely demise:)
Though I cannot condone wasting margaritas, and as a vegetarian would be freaked out if someone threw a hot dog at me, I do love the sentiment of this piece (you knew I would!) Let's read, review, write, challenge, enjoy, and repeat.

Ain't that the truth??? Oh geez.............................................!!
What a coincidence! I was pouring margaritas last night. Sadly, I can't make them nearly as well as my husband and he's not home until Monday night.

Here's to all of us, anyway, and when the Cafe next farts, may it be downwind.

I don't know what's funnier...this clever piece or the fact there is a Alcoholism Rehab Center ad attached to the video you posted...Seriously...I can't decide xD

I like the sentiment in this piece, especially given what I learned today. I always seem to miss the height of the drama here (intuition, perhaps?) I feel like those kids at the end of Pink Floyd's The Wall who are picking through the debris after the wall collapses...I just sort of walk around, rather oblivious, and pick up the pieces, not really knowing how sharp the edges are...

*sigh*

It's pretty easy, people....read who you want to read. Make a friend or two. Review pieces you like. Help where you can. If you see something you don't like, walk away. If you want to play, invite someone to play. Forget about rankings....you're not walking away like the winner of The Voice. This is a writing site, not the lottery.

Crappola, there's no grand trip to Hawaii for topping this bat shyte asylum, now you tell me!
I'll bring the sheets for the food fight. Give them a flash title like the Apotheosis of Poets and I can sell them afterwards.
