Poetry Procure

A Poem by Frieda P

Your ink injected into my soul
traced a straight line to my heart

 Intoxicating mind trances
        enlightened within balladry,
                    musings heady high

   Breathing in a whirlwind fire
                 heated to the core
       inhaling daydream's verse

   This addiction has no boundaries
there is no cure for poetry

It's good to get a little glimpse into another person through their writing. I think it's very human to seek commonality, we find validation when we find another mind like our own in some way.

Words, funny how an ethereal concept can be real enough to cause emotion.

That's always a good thing, thanks Leandro! :-)
Indeed...there is no cure, but would we want one if there way? :) Great imagey to show the heart of this one; the way that words can invade a mind and almost alter our thinking. I'm fascinated by the way that I am "infected" by the words of certain writers, and it is a mystery to my why after reading I feel somehow connected to the person behind the pen. Beautifully written portrayal of something I think many of us can relate to.

I think only a poet can relate to another poet, the rest of the world thinks we're crazy. ;-)
Loved this, Frieda. You're right about the addictiveness of poetry, especially when you can write in the company of gifted poets such as yourself in this forum. Thanks for this special poem.

Awh you humble me my friend, thanks so much. I do think it's a cure for what ails us Troy.
There's surely no cure for Poetry those who are cured are pretendtious, it's not addictive but it's meant to stay in us and our love for art is bliss. Beautiful piece. I love it
