Poetry Procure

A Poem by Frieda P

Your ink injected into my soul
traced a straight line to my heart

 Intoxicating mind trances
        enlightened within balladry,
                    musings heady high

   Breathing in a whirlwind fire
                 heated to the core
       inhaling daydream's verse

   This addiction has no boundaries
there is no cure for poetry

It's good to get a little glimpse into another person through their writing. I think it's very human to seek commonality, we find validation when we find another mind like our own in some way.

Words, funny how an ethereal concept can be real enough to cause emotion.

Oh geez, I was fully prepared to quote that song, then I scrolled down and saw the song...not surprised though ;) This is what I hope my poetry does to people, but it's not the kind of thing you ask people about haha Nice work as always Mrs.R :)

Excellent poem. I also admire the reasons and motives that you shared with us as to why you are writing your poetry. Your sister would be sooo proud of you . Stay blessed my friend.

Never a truer word spoken! Your poem casts a spell. Poetry is a blessing, a gift, a friend, maybe even a curse....but who need a cure anyway? Exquisite write here!
