~Swim in You~

~Swim in You~

A Poem by Frieda P

I fell for you like amber raindrops
burnished by the sun's satiation,
golden in my heart you will remain
our love story as sinister storm clouds,
turning sapphire skies to bleak trickles
sank in drowning pools of our own undoing
baubles of lust dissipated on the horizon
yet I still swim in you on dismal days...

Frieda - Now we can agree with the font and theme here in the lines...I miss reading all of you guys as of late...the music like YB I just read...gives to this verse...Good to read your work…Thanks for the invite to read your thoughts to paper at Writers Café...I'm back to work with copy writer and doing my best to write 1000 words a day...and a subject you do not get to choose...will be busy the next few months...so I will read all RR"s might just take a bit longer to get a review...hope you understand...plus promote my book: The Onyx - Vena Amoris...for late next month release…I have very little time on my hands…making the most of everyday and taking today to read as many as I can…keep writing and sharing your creative talent here and elsewhere…

Reminds of those brief seconds we stop and ponder a past life of "what could have beens".

Thanks Mike.
Firstly - amazing title girly. This is one for my library Frieda, I am forever taken aback by your way with words. Your ability to use the images around you and mould them to suit your complex feelings is breathtaking. I was trying to find one particular line to quote back to you - I couldn't. I was overwhelmed with the intensity of this write. Beautiful write Frieda

You humble me with your words Willow, thanks so much.
Love...or is it lust...that gathers like a summer storm...the storm breaks, lightning flashes, we are caught, helpless in it's grip...but then, the skies begin to clear, and the storm dissipates, till finally it is just a cold drizzle...
Yep...
You have written it beautifully...classic Frieda.

The imagery in this one is spectacular, Frieda. Why do we always want the ones who are bad for us? Maybe if we work for it, we appreciate it more? Sinister storm clouds can still drench us with sensual rain. I liked this a lot. Lydi**

Grazie mille Ken.
i think this is very intricate, interwoven...with many stories and fireworks going off between the lines. i think the first two lines are particularly brilliant...integrating circles of nature ...the sun soaks up the water...burnishes it and lets it fall...lust burns out but leaves a cycle of memories ... almost haunted longing...love love love this....incredible story you have told in a wonderful short space...nice job thinks i..

I love how you dissected my web here E...thanks so much for your insightful and gracious review!
A really nice prose - short and thoughtful. Your title though, doesn't match the creativeness of your poem, but it gives the whole point of the poem.
