Grounded madness...

Grounded madness...

A Poem by Frieda P
"

"
Madness like a washed up sea,
      wind without direction &
           stars sans illumination
footsteps in but one grain of sand,
crushing dusty dugout's salvation
       that never reaches shore,
broken pieces of a glass jigsaw puzzle
    mornings lit of sundown's promise
saying fare thee well at the end day
tempered within the fire of bitter love tunes,
acknowledged capacity for light in dark passages
lit within the intensity of folly's frenzy
a predilection's soft spot lost in the fray,
                    that keeps me grounded

stars sans illumination
footsteps in but one grain of sand,

Very different imagery here, I actually made a face when I read the grain of sand line. Not in scrutiny, but trying to picture a footprint in a single grain of sand. And of course, would stars without illumination be black holes? Or just a black sky? Very interesting Frieda, I love when you make me question things.

That's the best a poet could hope for, wish I could have seen your face. :) Thanks so much Ashira.

This sums up perfectly how I have been feeling the last few days.. barely maintaining my foothold on "the ground".. those waves of madness try their best to crush and knock me over with their frenzy... never heard this song, but fits perfectly.. love the melody...

so hard to cling to ones sanity in the crushing .. i feel the disarray of mind and heart .. so glad for the turn of hope in the last lines .. such as it is .. i am still grounded .. let it rain ..let it pour ..anyway .. thats what i read here this morning Frieda .. and hallelujah! it is Frieday!!! yahoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

Thanks for reading Bobby.
i love the irony and the oxymoron of "grounded madness"---
to stay grounded in insanity...to be that one grain of sand...

i also like "sundown's promise" rather than the promise of sun-up...

sometimes i feel like a washed up sea.

Don't we all sometimes, thanks so much jacob.
Oooooft, wowee Frieda. What the heck do I say to this one... I've been a way a while and not been writing much and always thought there was something missing in my days and now I know it was you and your poetry. No matter how you write, what you write or when you write it you always seem to touch me and in some way, I can always seem to relate.

Amazeballs...xoxo

Beautiful and amazing description.
"crushing dusty dugout's salvation
that never reaches shore,"
The poem had a feel of sadness and accepting life. Thank you dear friend for reading and the comment.
