let your heart call out

let your heart call out

A Poem by The Shadow of the Dawn
"

i will stand by you as a guardian

"

When trouble is all you know,

Let your heart call out,

I’ll be right beside you,

When you stand at the edge ready to jump,

Let your heart call my name,

I’ll catch you and fly you to the ground,

When sadness takes over,

and tears fall from your heart,

I’ll hold you tight in a feathered embrace,

When your dreams are full of shadows,

And your heart screams in fear,

I will lay beside you till the morning sun rises,

When you feel that you don’t belong in this world,

I’ll come before your heart calls,

Show you the love that I feel,

Give you a reason to live,

When the time comes for the light to leave your eyes,

and your heart can no longer call to me,

I'll take you into my arms and fly you to gates of heaven,

for to be without you is a fate worse then death.

Second to last stanza, first line "fell" --> "feel".
Your info bar "I well stand by you as a guardian" --> "I will stand by you as a guardian".

It's very sweet, and it makes me wish that I could find a love like this. I love your repetition of "When". You portrayed true love very well - always there for somebody, there when you need them, there before you need them, always there, even when someone is gone. I also like the idea that your "heart" can call out - love is something that doesn't have to be vocal.

This is really sweet. It kind of reminds me of that song "Jumper". I can't remember who it's by. Wait, I'm loosing my point. Anyway, I really like this poem. It's so sweet. (I feel like I'm repeating myself.) I can't pick my favorite part because I love every part of this!

I love this poem! I loved

"When you stand at the edge ready to jump,

Let your heart call out,

I’ll catch you and fly you to the ground,"

I have a fascination with standing on the edge of life and death(Cliffs)

Again Great Poem!

This was one of the most amazing poems I have read to date. It's a story in a few lines, a very nice and soul clenching story. Few out of the millions of writers can do this effectively, but I think you nailed it.
Great job, keep it up.

"I will lay beside you tell the morning sun rises" should read "till the morning..."

This is quite an amazing poem. I only wish I could write poetry such as this.

This piece shows sacrifice, and perfectly depicts relationships; so much to give, and so little in return. This poem will mean many different things to many different people, which is what a true piece of work is. It doesnt express one feeling; it brings out many. Great work!

What a sad and tragic poem. It strikes readers to be a love suicidal letter. I like how the person sacrifice himself to save the one he loves. A heroic act indeed!
