Self Deception

Daily Mind Screw

I know it's not good for me-

yet i play it on repeat

 

I have been known to stand ground

yet lately I float towards the clouds

 

I am a warrior

yet i cower

against myself

 

I know right from wrong

yet fantasy prevails

while reality staggers

 

I walk my line spewing deceit

my vision created

my aspiring heart imploring reliance

 

I am the bearer of delusion

subdued under my own imagination

We are all one to live in delusion from time to time against our own advice. You tell yourself to be strong but cannot help but be weak. Live out fantasies that have very little or no chance at all of coming to fruition. However, that still doesn't make one weak in my opinion. Dreaming is necessary as long as you don't live in the fiction. Well done.
