I'm just a tin can

I'm just a tin can

A Poem by Muse

I'm just a tin can.
I'm telling you....
it was not part of my plan.
Tobacco chew,
with gum from your shoe,
caterpillars,
pencils,
left-handed scissors,
snails,
nails,
and yesterdays mail,
car keys,
bees,
the sand and the breeze,
mushy pears,
chocolate eclair,
now I hold a mint flower;
once placed in your hair.

I absolutely love this! Personally I find the creativeness sublime. What talent to take a little can that has sat in so many lives and give it voice. The can that has held the quill of the poet who with never a thought to this faitful conveyance spills the blood of their heart across paper then callously drops the spent scribe int it.

Ah the little tin can! I just love this!

Bringing the shine of poetic meditations to the everyday memory-sprinkled container of such and such, this and that, beautifying crinkled tin and fading blossoms. What a nice exercise in object art..of the kind I personally very much enjoy.

Truly original...

Yeah we all feel that way when we're down xP This is really creative and I just love the symbolism! The best part is where you go on and on listing the contents of the can. It's sad and lonely and sort of cute. The sand and the breeze was an interesting addition.

Sometimes I feel like an old tin can... all the worlds I held... moments, lives... each dent, scrape... all the odd colors and scratches... rusting into oblivion.

The life of a tin can, it plays many rolls and holds memories for certain things. Good job.

Somebody might say that you're feeling ignored....where such a person is onto tobacco and chocolate. What an incredible obdervation of the other, Muse. You bring new flair to the art of being appreciated less than what you are.
